Thanks ZeroChrome. It becomes more and more clear to me that purchasing that coat is maybe not such a good idea. Really sad.

Thanks SirGrotius, you're always so helpful. Really appreciate that! I live in Dubai for work but I do visit my parents and friends regularly in Belgium and it really rains 11 months out of 12 over there. If I run the risk of destroying it because of that, I prefer to skip the purchase. It...

Guys, I really need some insights! I'm about to purchase the last 'oversized rancher coat' from the local SLP store. The coat is amazing but it's made of 100% treated sheepskin and feels like suede (with the lining in pure shearling). Questions: - is this water resistant? - does rain leave...

Plus their purchasing manager is a super cute girl. She's not single though ;)

Matchesfashion is indeed a great online store. Purchased many times there. Their packaging is as nice as mrporter. They have a bit less choice in items and sizes but that's because they havs both men and women's wear. Mrporter split genders into 2 websites. Cool thing about them is that...

Sorry, I'm mostly in mobile mode and can't see signature. Nice wordplay. I'm guessing it's a mix of blood luster and dream catcher. In any case, I will check out your blog later this evening. Thanks!

Just received them less than half an hour ago. They are amazing.

Just ordered the cropped Jodhpur in cigar suede. Looking forward to getting these. I tried them on in the SLP store here and they fit TTS but the price was exuberant. They charge the equivalent of 1075 dollars in this region, while everyone can easily get them online. I guess it's their loss...

Thanks Adamdraps but it's sold in the meantime so one less headache to deal with!

Just checked nugnes1920.it again and the shirt is sold so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Probably purchased by a silent reader of our previous posts :) Whoever bought it: enjoy it!

Yeah, I know that Wall Street and Canary Wharf are a bit more subtle, but because Dubai is viewed as kind of fashion hub in the Middle East, people don't raise eyebrows too quickly, especially on Thursdays. Plus I wear most of my SLP gear on Thursdays (or when I work on weekends at the...

Thanks for your input. Really valuable to know it is TTS. We have casual Thursdays at work (weekend in this region is Friday and Saturday) but my colleagues are quite judgemental and most of them would be quick to tell me that I 'forgot to iron' my shirt. It is a lousy but a valid argument...

Guys, I just found this shirt here in my size on sale. Does anyone have it? Is it really oversized as described on ysl.com? Also, on many pictures it looks wrinkled as hell, which I know was the purpose. However, is it easy to iron out those wrinkles? I know it's sold out on Mr Porter, where I...

By the way: I will never buy shoes with cemented soles ever again! I bought some Gucci oxfords for 400 euro about 3 months ago (when I visited my parents in Europe) and the hot weather in Dubai caused the glue to come off and I looked like bum with loose soles while I have tons of other shoes...

Seriously? If so, is that also the case with the harnessed Wyatts? The stitching on those looks stunningly real.

Are there any chelsea boots that look even remotely similar to the Wyatt 30 in tobacco or tan suede? I have a hard time finding this unicorn and a good alternative will do for now. By similar I mean it has to have at least (a) the stitching on the sole around the toe cap (goodyear?) and (b) that...

Not worth it. I had the exact same pair with patent-ish leather but with the (flatter) leather soles and they suck in many ways: they crease like linen and they are so wide that it looks like I'm wearing Ronald McDonald's shoes. Plus they are not durable at all compared to other shoes I...

Mine is done exactly like on that runway pic you posted: they cut the hem out, then stitch it back on the jeans, but wrapped around the raw hem. Sorry it unclear but I think it shows pretty well on my pics.
