    What Is the Purpose of the Dress Boot?

    Honestly asking. I cannot count how many pairs of dress shoes I own, but I've never owned a pair of chukkas, or any other boot that's dressy. Plenty of boots for hiking, or for snow or other weather. But I'm curious as to the reasons for dressier boots. Is there a functional need for them?
