    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

I'm getting married next year and want to get a suit for my dad. He hasn't worn a suit in the last 15 years, and likely won't wear it again except in my wedding, so we want to control the budget a bit ($500 - $750 USD range). Which ones would you recommend in Hong Kong? I did some search and...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

I'm going to be in Hong Kong early Dec for a few days and want to get a few tailored shirts made. Which tailors would you guys recommend? In the past (7 years ago) I've used Jantzen and got good results, but I'm not sure what the latest verdict is with all these tailors. I'm looking at $50 -...

recommend an affordable weekender / duffel?

I am looking to buy a weekender or a medium size duffel for short trips. Did a quick search here but most recommendations are way out of my budget. I am looking for something less than $200. If it's on sale for around $100 that'd be even better. I kind of like this Banana Republic one, but...

    how is this tie/shirt combination?

Diagonal stripes is not very famous. The texture and the shining fabric is (IMO) preferable for ladies. The colour of the ties depends on the colour of the eyes. I also have a shirt that's white/blue stripe (last picture). Is that one easier to match I will wear the diagonal stripe one as...

I did a search on this forum but most of the suggested tailors are close to downtown area, which is hard for me to get to. Any one know of good alternation tailors in uptown Toronto? I would like to alter a cheap suit ($300) to make it fit better (mainly chest, take an inch or two in). Would...

    Questions about my "first" suit

Thanks again for all the post. I looked up on Ralph Lauren website and all of their suits are $1500+, which is too expensive for me to begin with at full-retail. Do they usually have sales that would mark the suits down to at most $800?
