    Best looser-fitting jeans

Sevens in the relaxed fit (button fly) would probably work well for you. It's a trial and error process but I have 2 pairs which really worked well for me...the legs are still bootcut, just not narrow in the thighs.. have large thighs and an ass and I can't wear a lot of these jeans out here...

    Helmut Lang Sale

Plenty of jean jackets left when I stopped in today, all were $50. some in a nice darker rinse as well. Lots of jeans in small sizes, didn't really look as I wasn't interested. Some nice sweaters, all very large. Shoes were pretty bad.

    Hermes apologizes to Oprah

*Confused* How is Hermes having problems with North Africans relevant to the matter at hand. Aren't the majority of North African countries Arab (hence the constant seperation of North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa when any stats are given, etc.)...so how would one confuse a typical woman from...

    More trends in men's clothing

What do you mean? There's a major difference between being able to afford higher end clothing and choosing to purchase it. Many people who shop at Costco and other off price retailers could more than afford to shop at Bergdorfs and have bespoke shoes. They simply choose not to as they view it...

Michael Jackson.  Guilty or Not Guilty

*Interesting* choice of celebrity cases you chose to critique here. These seem to be the ones that always come up. OJ and Mike getting off sure have people riled up, yet other celebrity (Blake, Durst, yadda yadda) just go silently away without the critique from mass media and the public. It...

Do you believe care instructions on labels?

I don't. I believe they put dry clean only on everything nowadays (especially relatively expensive garments) to avoid potential liability issues. Even basic cotton items will say dry clean only. Plus, most cashmere items will say dry clean, and I'm told this is one of the worst ways to care for...

    Prada Denim

There was a blurb in the June/July Details announcing launch of Prada denim for Fall 05. There's a picture on page 58. Price range is $295-$495. Of course, seeing as how Prada shut Helmut's denim business and are a very late entry into the world of designer denim themselves, I'm interested in...

Exchange program with women's style forums

I can't even think of one to be honest, there's a forum called the Fashion Spot, which tends to focus on designers, trends and an assortment of other fashion related items. It's not the greatest, but you tend to get a lot of knowledgeable posters appreicate the aesthetic first, brand second...

Study: Shoppers naive about retail prices online

I'd have to disagree about Priceline. I've never found a agent, or even a booking service that offers comparable prices. Now, if one is clueless about the bidding process and overbids, that may cause them to believe the prices aren't much cheaper. Once one has mastered the bidding process, you...

It's good to be Tom Cruise

Did anyone watch him on Oprah this week? He was acting a fool. He got on his knees and then began jumping all over the couch, saying how much he loves Katie and how cool their love is It was a very odd scene. He said he plans to discuss marriage with her. I guess he did this because everyone...

The Co-op carries contemporary brands and targets a younger demographic. Tons of designer denim and brands like Juicy, Theory, D&G, Generra, James Perse, Original Penguin, Joie, Project E, PS by Paul Smith, Comme des Garcons shirts. They also (staying true to Barneys form) will carry many...

    Hotel tipping

The tip jars at Starbucks really annoy me. I often see them filled as well. The workers there are paid a decent wage (for food service), why do I need to leave a tip because you prepared a frap? Isn't the $4.75 enough of a *donation* on my part. It's not as if they are waiters and depend on...

    To Boot Sample Sale

Get there early if you are interested, especially if you are a size 10, 11. There's usually a line and the good stuff goes fast. They often have a selection of other brands as well. Meritless lawsuit of the month

Agreed, but what I found interesting was: I'm no legal eagle and didn't know this. Of course, a man shouldn't be cavorting with a married woman, but to have no claim at all....interesting...so basically he has no recourse here?
