    The alterations are fairly simple to be honest - letting out the trousers, taking out some shoulder pads/adding some new ones, so a Savile Row alterations tailor would probably be overkill in this instance. Can you recommend any others? Thanks.

    Thanks for the replies. I did ask at SS about having a suit made in the same material (linen) and was quoted £800 - which is way beyond my budget, unfortunately. Then again, the sales assistant might have been referring to their bespoke service rather than their MTM, so may be worth rechecking...
