    For NYE, I will be wearing blackwatch trousers with my dinner jacket as well. Black bow tie and cummerbund. Tartan trousers are a nice touch, but a tartan bow tie/cummerbund/pocket square is a step too far, IMO.

    I quite like the Ashbourne in Camel Suede. As archibald pointed out, it will not be as versatile, but a light suede shoe is required summer wear, as far as I'm concerned.

     Ordered the blue shirt from the Gatsby collection last night, and saw that my order status changed from "In Process" to "Shipped" sometime this afternoon. Did not receive an email notification. The turnaround was 20-21 hours, if I had to guess. I did opt for 2-Day shipping, however.

    My favorite polos are by Sunspel. I also have quite a few Lacoste polos, which I've found to be satisfactorily durable. Before the line was discontinued, I was a fan of Ralph Lauren Rugby polos. Does anyone know if any of the other Ralph Lauren lines produce a polo in a similar cut/fit?

    Not really any "rules" to speak of. The loafer is essentially the most versatile shoe in your rotation. I wear loafers everywhere.

    Don't wear a khaki suit. In fact, don't wear a grey suit, either. I would wear classic black-tie, especially if fewer people are doing it. That way, you will look great, you will "stand out" from the crowd, you will be appropriately dressed, all while managing not to offend your future self.

    Jacket length is really a matter of personal preference, provided that it is not somewhere in the realm of ridiculously long or comically short. If you like the length where it is, wear with confidence.
