I have this coat (Vicenza fit) but in charcoal grey. Buttoning point is higher and it's much longer than the model pictures indicate - I have no idea why they style the coats in such a weird way, as it does them no favours. Recieved my new Washington Half - just got it back from the tailors. What a suit! Sleeves needed to be shortened from the shoulder, but other than that it's perfect. 44L definitely fits slimmer, and I had to have it let out slightly in the body for this reason. Length wise, there's no real difference between the two other than in the sleeves - both fit well and go over my jacket sleeves (as they should on a coat) but the 44L is a smidgeon too long. Question; how does the Washington Half compare to the Washington fit? It's confusing; some literature indicates it's shorter in the body and sleeves, others seem to imply it fits identically to the normal Washington except with patch pockets.- MeachamLake

I wouldn't worry about the length either - I think it's good to have a mix of coats. I have a dark brown wool Ulster coat that is full length and very heavy - this is great in the depths of the winter when it's really cold. That's one Americanism I've never heard anyone use over here. Pretty much every British brand uses the phrase "Autumn Winter Collection". Then again, I do live a long way from London...perhaps they all have American accents down there these days. ;)- MeachamLake
