Right?? The fitting doesn’t look that way at all: I guess I’ll let it relax for a bit and wear it a few times before taking some update pics. I certainly don’t hate the silhouette though - it’s its own thing.

Interesting observation, this goes to show that sometimes results from Kotaro can turn out quite differently 😁 This one does seem to have a slightly higher buttoning point and, as a result, a higher roll that vaguely resembles those produced by Liverano’s disciples and other Florentines. Qemal’s...

Fresh out of the box fit. Aside from the obvious wrinkles, hopefully you get an idea of the silhouette (and who the tailor is 😆). Cloth is Anglo Italian.

Yeah something is going on there. Going to wear it a few times and report back to the tailor to have it rectified.

I feel like PROFF in this silhouette…

Speaking of the deep unknown, saw an MBT early this morning. Twas a good fitting. Have a friend in the rag trade who is unimpressed by the quality of Anglo Italian cloths (might be because he handles amazing vintage stuff every day), but I find them fantastic, both in terms of looks and...

I see what you mean. I like things soft and easy (and I slouch a lot) so I happen to be drawn to that saggy old man look you referred to. But you’re right to point out the hip issue - I have a bigger hip which gets accentuated if it’s not cut close to the body. Corcos seems to fit me the best...

I agree. Curious to hear your thoughts on the DB though.

I know L&L has raised some eyebrows as of late regarding their pricing, but every time I slip a jacket on I start thinking about my next order… The heart wants what it wants 😹 Here’s one I haven’t posted - DB in vintage windowpane woolen cloth.

I haven’t had my second fitting with Zizolfi yet because I haven’t been back to Italy, but on my first time seeing them they were willing to offer a first fitting within 3-4 days of taking my measurements (provided it’s a cloth they have available).

Aint no way I was gonna make that rookie mistake 😂 The tailor is so low profile he doesn’t have branded hangers anyway 😚

I’d make anything with Kotaro , but the man has his hands full.

Going to see the first MBT. A quick fit check (Cresent + Pommella): The pieces were looking smashing. A green herringbone SB and a beige 6x1 DB. Nothing much to say about the flawless fit. I am a big fan of his style, particularly the single breasted model. Next commission: this...

Kotaro convinced you to go ventless yet? 😆

It’s just a jacket. I like that his cut is not overly stylized, his prices and turnaround are quite good for Japanese artisans as well.

Thanks man! The flannels are Ambrosi RTW made on the Bryceland’s block. I ordered a size larger and just have the waist taken in. It fits thicc quads like mine a lot better than the standard Ambrosi cut or other rtw offerings for that matter, but of course bespoke is likely better still. I...

What can I say? Kotaro don’t miss 😤 Ongoing are brown and sage in mohair/ wool. Upcoming maybe the blueish green cloth below (although the brick quasi-herringbone on top is starting to speak to me…). I haven’t decided yet, but I am leaning towards something that is not glencheck and not...
