Doesn't really work. Looks costumey. Coat, sport coat, chinos(?) sweater vest, scarf, newsboy hat. Looks like a get-up for Pitti. Semi-bespoke suit trousers don't fit correctly -- what are my options?
Don't worry about protocol. From what you say, the pants can't be properly altered. They should be re-cut at no extra charge. 30+ years ago I had the same problem with an MTM Brooks Bros suit. In fact, the reason I went MTM was so the trousers would fit properly- the stock trousers were...- comrade
