    Actually they are ok with only a little slippage but I really like this unlined version of the LHS. Really cool to see Fransboone giving us models on lasts that are not that common.

    Hi there. The fit is looser across the vamp on the Leydon last but take in account that it is D width while the Van last is C width. Also the Van last by Anatomica has been modified and has a much better fit than the classic.

    Comparison of Van last penny loafers from Anatomica with Leydon last penny loafers from Frans Boone. Both unlined color 8 shell. Van size 10.5 C, Leydon 10.5 D.

    In the meantime, unlined color 8 captoes with flex soles on the Copley last from Fransboone. Truly spectacular.

     You are totally right. The picture is slightly deceiving as I haven't written the sizes. I am 10.5 C tts. The last 2 boots, Plaza and modified are 10.5 C. Barrie is 10 D while trubalance I ordered in 10 B. That explains it.

     I was at a store in Athens that carries Alden chatting to the owner ,who told me about a shell briefcase given to him from Alden 20 yrs ago. And of course I asked him to bring it for a photo to be posted on the forum. Really is extremely heavy. Don't think they make them anymore.

    Anatomica in Paris. Good collection of black and color 8 shell boots and shoes. Really worth visiting when in Paris and meeting Pierre and Charles. The two of them are very convincing about the modified last.

    Unlined color 8 shell cordovan penny loafers on Van last modified at Anatomica. Very happy with these.

     Both fit well. 10 C in Barrie, 10.5 C in Aberdeen. Will probably keep them both for now. Can always put on the marketplace later on.
