CAVOUR Official Community - Discuss Tailoring, Shirting, Shoes & More - Official Affiliate Thread

I guess I‘m one of the very few that bought one when you stocked them. It unfortunately does not fit me anymore and need a size up. But fully understand the business decision.

Hi @kevinsvindland , are there any plans to add shirts with french cuffs (e.g. plain white twill)?

I just had a very similar experience. I ordered a pair of Mod 2 single pleat high twist trousers in size 46 as I already have a few Mod 2 single pleat flannels and a pair that came with a plain twill suit, that are perfect for me in the waist. However, this new pair is too in the waist and I had...

Hi @kevinsvindland , do you have a size guide for the shorts (cotton or linen)? I'm more particularly looking for the length of a size 46 (the Mod 2 trousers fit me perfectly at the waist in 46).

36mm is definitely the better choice. I don’t like the 5, 10… markings on the 41mm version. Unpopular opinion, but I’m also not a fan of the jubilee bracelet. I would much prefer it on oyster. The green dial looks really nice here. The only thing I wonder is how much of a ”trend colour” it is...

This watch makes so much more sense with the fluted bezel. However, I'm not the biggest fan of those roman numerals. Stick or baguette markers would be my preference (but not sure if it exists).

Go for it! I bought a Submariner for my son's birth. It also has his name and date of birth. It's the perfect watch to do all sorts of activities with kids without having to think about it. I much prefer wearing that than my leather strap, dress watch Zenith as I have to be much more mindful...

I second the Lange Saxonia recommendation. It's very high on my list for an addition to my current dress watch, competing with the Patek 5196R. If you want to stay in your initial budget, you can also have a look at the Zenith Elite models (classic or moonphase). 7 years ago, my wife wanted to...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

My wife got me an engagement watch. It's sort of a tradition to do it in my family. It was actually an enjoyable process as well. My wife isn't into watches so I gave her a few pointers. We first settled on a budget that she was comfortable with. After that we visited a number of shops together...

My outlet order was delivered today (ordered on Nov 25). I really like the mid-brown wool alpaca havana jacket. The fabric is thick, yet very soft. The color is also less bright than the product pictures make it look like. I’m looking forward to add it into my rotation.

Thanks for chiming in! I might just take the plunge if it’s still available in my size. Risk is limited as well with free returns here in Belgium

Thanks both for your feedback! I'm still on the fence. I might just wait a day or 2 and if it's still available I'll buy and see how I like it.

Does anybody have any real life experience with the jacket below? I like the pattern/colours, but I’m afraid of the composition. 17% polyamide seems a lot, but I’ve never handled anything like this before.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I’ll admit that I got carried away in typical SF fashion. However, I didn’t buy this watch only because of the fact that it’s a Rolex. I’m not a person that wants to project wealth. I’m even far from what I consider being wealthy. I just like this watch for what it is, a nice design and...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I'll echo the recommendation for the Rolex 116000. The Oyster Perpetual is probably the most underrated line of Rolex and has many options in terms of sizes and colours. I have a 36mm blue dial and could not be happier with it. It fits in all situations. It will stretch your budget but is worth...

@Alocin that polo looks great. You mind telling me what L/S stand for? Are these still for sale?

@Spandexter , I have a 100% linen green Havana jacket from last season (I think there should be pictures somewhere in this thread), that I wear for work over the summer. I find the wrinkling to be very acceptable (mainly on the inside of the elbow). I would definitely buy one again.

The jacket I posted was indeed this 100% linen Havana.
