Mine look like loxo's. It does look like you could remove them without compromising the backstay..that area is already reinforced. I just think a whole strap/loop like that is unneccesary on a boot with that shaft height. I'm fine with my Clymers' pull tab though, which seems to fit the...- GooseG

Yes, pretty much right on the money. Just a few observations for everyone's info: The Raptor sole is a little softer than your standard Christy wedge (a la Red Wings). I found it to be pretty comfortable right out of the box. The fit on the Clymer boot is pretty similar to the Ranger...- GooseG

Cognac bison in the wild! Sorry, not a cuffer :) I took some pics earlier with a good camera. Soon as I process in Lightroom I'll share them. Long story short, there is very little red in this shade and it's about a shade between natural and brown CXL.- GooseG

Initially, my 403s fit perfectly at 8.5D. However, the chromexcel stretches considerably and almost exclusively widthwise. Who else got in on Epaulet's pre-orders? The Natural Innsbruck Indy sounds great, but I ended up ordering the Alpine Grain captoe boot. Barrie last + Commando has been perfect for fit and comfort for me with my Tankers so I really couldn't turn it down. I'm curious what they might get in...- GooseG

Makes sense. I saw it was mostly used on the lightweight/barefoot-intended models. I finally placed my order yesterday. Clymer Boot, cognac bison, tan calf lining. I decided to stick with the Vibram wedge because that sole is simply a tank (I destroy heels but my 2yo Red Wings look unworn)...- GooseG

Good news! The cognac bison is available, and they are perfectly fine doing a Clymer MTO in that leather. I'm going to go that route...with a lot of travel planned next year, I'm seeing these as a near perfect pair to beat up!- GooseG
