In regards to "from what I have heard Mr. Altieri suggested a price of $5000 for his boots" I have heard this from many retailers/buyers, I have been told that $5000 is the price that he recommends to potential stockists.- round

The hype comes from the quality of the leather used and the method of construction. Goodyear welts which are fairly common are priced less than a storm welt. Personally, I think a lot of the hype comes from the amazing silhouette of many of the boots and shoes, and I personally fell in love with...- round

Just received a MA+ striped Chester coat in size 44, most bummed I have ever been able a purchase, really sad that it doesn't fit me, I'll try and get some better pics in the daylight because it really is beautiful- round

I don't know how common it is, but it a defect that I have experienced, it doesn't seem to effect the shoe much if at all, for the outsoles, I had them vibrammed completely to prolong the life of the boot.- round

@salinas cut the other side of the lace so it is also diagonal, thats what I did for my guidis (or maybe they came that way, can't remember) and I used it like that until the laces snapped, which will happen fairly easily if you try and tie the shoes tightly. As far as the fit, I would...- round
