Thanks for this post. It is somewhat reassuring. I didn't have a big problem with the creasing, so much as I found it odd that one shoe had it and the other didn't. These are firsts, bought from AE during the "Rediscovering America" sale... Agreed about stitching, it is more the level of 'flushness' that I was seeing as a potential issue. I didn't get any waxes or conditioners! Guess I need to get that stuff too. Atleast I saved money on the sale.- velomatt

I think the comment about your shirt was a joke. As in, you're obsessing about the tie to such an extent that you should apply equal scrutiny to the rest of your outfit.
