Interesting input here, and totally agree. Some great input here... the above picture shows how nicely a pair of Moores comes up with a good polish. Definitely one of my favourites. Although I don't have a pair of St James II, some other styles from GnG, Edward Green and AS Handgrade make me...

They're great! I had a patina artist to sort mine out.. Also love the 724, I think there's nothing like trying out a shoe to really see and feel what the last is like.

Thanks! If you're close to Rushden then I guess it's worth giving the factory a call to see what they could possibly do for you or visit A Fine Pair of Shoes in Royal Leamington Spa and see Julian or Sarah. They have a showroom where you could try on the Sargent range that afpos do..

Not sure about sizing compared to C&J as I have none from them. However sizing on the HG lasts are pretty much true to size. They can tend to be slightly slimmer with the possibility of going up half a size. I haven't had to size up on any though.

These are the Sargent Handgrades I've collected over the years. Amazing quality of course... leather and craftsmanship is stunning. Shame they're not made currently however lots of great makers out there as being discussed..

Hi TtownMD, These were just a very lucky find and barely worn a few times. Alfred Sargent used to produce Handgrades a few years ago but seem to have ceased. Maybe they will produce them in the future hopefully? Beautiful quality though.
