Manhattan Sales Alert!!
Nothing additional off of suits today, green tag 50% everything else 30% shoes 50% etc... Many people working said this years sale was really slow and the reductions would not be any better tomorrow, but who knows I have heard that in the past and things still get a bit better...- Urban Warrior

Does anyone know if Oxxford in NYC is open yet?
I tried to swing by last weekend to pick up a suit and the 57th st store was closed but the madison ave store wasn't yet open. I can't seem to get through on the phone either... Wondering if it was worth a trip tomorrow? Thanks- Urban Warrior

Who makes Borelli shoes?
Actually you all might be right! I was told by the salesman at the Borrelli store on Worth Ave in Palm Beach that currently (summerof 05) Mantelassi was making the shoes but they would be switching over to Santoni in the near future. WOW, I picked up a Brioni suit today! An Oxxford suit on Saturday,(side note Oxxford on 57th was more than happy to alter for me)an Isaia Super 130 stewart model suit and a Isaia Super 140 sportcoat that was $150!!! Battistoni Suits
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for 50%, the Battistoni suits usually don't get a final markdown or they get pulled off the racks just prior to it. Not to say it could't happen but it's been rare. For around $500 you would be getting an awesome suit IMHO, but for the $1,100 or so I would tend...- Urban Warrior

Dry Cleaner for a Tie in NY HELP!!!
I really messed up the other day, I spilled a orange juice and protein shake all over my Borrelli 7-fold tie..OUCH, my local dry cleaner that is usually very good had very little luck. I would hate to think that I ruined this one...Anyone know a good dry cleaner for ties in the NYC area? Thanks- Urban Warrior

I for one really like Mantellassi shoes and find the high end Fatte a Mano comparable to Santoni's FAM. They can also be picked up for a real steal sometimes.
