What's the point in posting every single video in here? It's not just "a post on a website" for those who watch this thread with email notifications turned on. How about you create a nice signature with a link to your youtube channel, Alan, which would be included in this thread every time you...

It's the other way round: They use g/m^2, so you could multiply by 1,46m, or whatever the width is, since g/lm seems more common in the industry (even though g/m^2 is more sensible, obviously).

Have you had it made up? If so, do you have a picture you would be willing to share? Almost looks like birdseye in the Merino Bros' photo. It would be too heavy for summer (for my taste), but if it's a nice, chunky hopsack, it might be a good option for the colder months.

The Drapers and Caccioppoli cloths posted by wigglr are jacketings (afaik made by VBC, hopsack, very open weave, see-through). Definitely not to be made into trousers.

The new Fresco Lite feels quite smooth (at least compared to the classic Fresco qualities) and would be perfect for conservative summer suits. Fresco Mohair feels quite rough, as do all Mohair cloths I know of. Minnis Classic would not be typical summer weight but I believe you are from Northern...

Minnis Fresco (possibly with Mohair). Or Minnis Classic (three shades of blue hopsack).

I would hate it as a blazer/sport coat, it's way too shiny and it drapes like typical suiting, imho. The heavier fresco might be nice as a DB blazer: https://www.instagram.com/p/BMbn1r3jR4W/

+1 Looks like the tea room at Brown's Hotel in London. The tie might be madder, at least it doesn't look shiny. So I see no issues with different levels of formality. Also, there's obviously quite a difference in scale.

It's loosely woven and very much see-through when held against light.

That is Douglas Cordeaux from Fox Bros. in the picture. You could drop them an email, maybe the cloth is by Fox. "Lovat" might only be the colour.

I have the 360180 and I like it as a quarter-lined SB jacket but it could be a bit too casual for a DB, imo. Prices depend on where you buy it and where you are based but it's rather good value for money (around 50€ incl. VAT, on average, maybe...). It's actually the "classic" VBC hopsack. The...

NMWA has made a jacket out of it: http://www.nomanwalksalone.com/index.php/clothing/sport-coats/navy-mohair-wool-blazer-10-11-oz.html The colour is a little bright for my tase, William Halstead offers two more colours (cut lengths can be ordered from Pepper Lee), one of which is almost black and...
