it’s very strange (and annoying) the website does not have pictures of the trousers, for example, being worn by a model so you can gauge how they are cut and fit on someone with standard measurements.

how vintage/rare are you talking? there's a facebook group called Australian watch, buy swap and sell. seems to be pretty liquid and people regularly put up WTB posts.

no. at least not when i last checked. think i once floated the idea of a thread for everyone based in aus to sell stuff to run parallel to this but it didn't really seem to get any traction. i think there is a similar one for toronto which seemed to work well when i last saw.

it's a generic product from a well-known supplier being sold at a substantial markup to its usual price. of course he (and anyone else) can buy whatever he like. the price of its postage was expressly raised, strange that forum members can't give their thoughts on the cost of the underlying...

again - i don't mean to offend you, but you haven't provided anything other than hearsay accounts of your conversations with op-shop managers and your interpretation of how they perceive you. my original point remains. if op-shops exist to to make money to support services provided by the...

my post was only directed at you insofar as you made a definitive statement about why op-shop exists. i disagree with you, and whether i'm right or wrong, this is a forum. i'll openly admit i'm biased, my mother is from a very poor background and her views on charity donations etc has shaped...

been a while since i had anything altered. today i was quoted the following $135 to let out a jacket waist. have no idea whether this is reasonable as I can't remember prices. is this a reasonable price? silk saddle $65 and shorten trouser (no cuff) $25 - these seem reasonable.
