Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

Yes, I am. I have a similar plan of action and plan on using them as eyeglasses and putting in photochromic lenses. They will make a bold and fashionable pair of eyeglasses. For me proper sunglasses need to be blocking light from coming in around the lenses protecting both eyes and surrounding...

Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

I think that guy in the pic has a small face. On me the Earl looks more like a pair of eyeglasses and not sunglasses. The width is like a wider medium frame. Not as wide e.g. as the 1980 or the Reynold. And perhaps that's why on the website these are listed as medium in width. Also these are...

Hoya Sensity Dark and Sensity Shine are the other options that will get darker in a car. Of course not sufficiently dark on bright days but something is better than nothing if you forgot your sunglasses. :)

I I'm very sure and no Essilor (aka Verilux) won't do it in the US. It is a business decision and has nothing to do with the chemical processes. The reason is simply a lack of highly skilled personnel and patience involved with assuring that you get right level of tint. Basically when you...

Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

If you want to have photochromic (e.g. transitions) and fashion tint on the same lenses (+ mirror), your choices as of last year have become very limited. Basically only Zeiss and Hoya will do it. Verilux and Shamir won't anymore.

As promised some pics of my new JMM Earl Pacific + measurements, which hopefully will help you in making your own decision in buying this pair. The guy in the pic is Eric from 1269 (after a few drinks last night :), not me. He usually wears Ashcroft as has a smaller face.

Better progressive lenses e.g. zeiss smartlife 3 require five precise measurements to assure the right fit. Costco doesn't offer such service and further doesn't have access to the high end lenses. For best results, you will need to locate a smaller independent optician who is capable and...

It all depends on the skin tone and the face shape.e.g Dahlia color would look great as an optical on me and would never look washed out. I also agree that pink/blush color only works on you due to the dark sunglasses lenses.

Thank you! I love JMM titanium frames. I feel they are underrated vs acetate. I think even better made than my Chrome Hearts and comparable quality wise to my Maybach eyewear.

I think his main point is that he is into timeless design influenced by the seventies and eighties and not into seasonal fashion that he detests.
