I remember Xile had some nice ties. Not sure if in the budget range though. Personally I went with Vanda for my groomsmen and the ties were fantastic. You could go with mj bale. Tm lewin if they are still around too.

I'd consider flying down to Sydney or something to check out suitsupply or something. Make a little boys trip out of it. I personally went with a pretty standard colour for my groomsmen so MJ Bale was fine.

I got 2 pairs of their linen pants. They are pretty nice, been wearing them for a couple years now.

If I was to buy mpre casual wear, I'd look on taobao. Lots of great stuff that people have never heard of before. But in the last few years got some nice stuff from Uniqlo, informale, balance attilier and zing chen.

Covid has really killed off my desires for clothes. Past 2 years I've only bought my wedding clothes and like 2 jackets that's it.

What sunglasses does everyone wear? I've been wearing persols for the past 10 in years or so but I always eventually lose them. Anything as nice as persols but a bit cheaper?

I know we've complained a lot about shipping times over the years but I still can't believe it's going to take 2 weeks a company called Sendle to deliver to Brisbane from Sydney :deadhorse:

I'll keep that place in mind, it looks closer to my office when I actually go into the city. I usually visit the Vietnamese lady that's in the office building next Jimmys but it's a bit of a trek from Roma st, especially in summer.

Yea... I usually have someone in the city do my alterations but since I'm working from home, I thought I'd give the local dry cleaners a go with what I thought was something simple. In Brisbane unfortunately

jeez I'm not having much luck with clothes this year. Thought I'd take a shirt to the local dry cleaners to get the sleeves taken up. Not only did they do a dodgy job on sewing it back on, they didn't do anything with the sleeve placket, so now it's ridiculously small and I can't roll up the...

My experience is the elastic stays tight for a lot longer but the fabric wears away much quicker.

Yea I kinda let my guard down regarding all the additional charges. I've bought items over $1000 that didn't include all of that (besides gst). I even bought my engagement ring online last year and it only included gst.

Just bought a Ring Jacket suit and got stung over $300 for gst, import duty and gov charges fee. Which makes this exercise of getting a suit from Japan quite costly. For the same cost I probably could have flown down to Melbourne and get an MTM suit from suitshop or even pjt.
