    This shouldnt be a a problem. Saphir's Havana cream will work fine here. There will of course be a striping effect, but that is also partly due to the difference in textures. Look at my Saint Crispin's Crust. For me this is normal behavior and it goes away when I apply cream.

    Patina'd shoes are more sensitive and will change color more I'd say. Although, I dont think is a particular problem just for hand painted shoes, but more related to crust leather. The 'biggest' problem is that most people tend to use neutral cream on the painted shoes due a varying colors...

    My latest fix...Couldnt resist when I visited the London store, here on the maiden voyage, unlined loafer Tintagel Burgundy Highland suede on last KN14. and with some photo trickery :)

    This took me 2-3 hours in total I would say. Brushing as a finisher is a no-no if you want to have a mirror shine. This is is just cotton/wax/water.

    Yes, partly to remove the old cream, but mostly to remove any salt that has been absorbed. They are using an amazing amount of salt where I work so everytime you go outside you essentially walk in some kind of salty slush. Having old cream clogging the pores as well as the shoes being exposed...
