Kapital - hippies, Japanese farmers and post-apocalypse survivors

No 4 green denim looks real to me. I have an old and often washed pair of those without the studs and everything looks identical. When they first launched No 4 denim, nobody was faking Kapital as it wasn't a hype brand at all. As for the others I can't say for certain, but they are also an old...

Don't have the bucket, but the standard cap version varies greatly between denim and chino. The denim one fits my big head like a dream, but my green chino one is less deep and has a smaller circumference so it sits higher and isn't so secure. I've tried different styles on numerous times in...

Kapital - hippies, Japanese farmers and post-apocalypse survivors

Century denim shrinks in the width and not the length; the usual warp/weft pattern is turned 90 degrees in order to get the sashiko threads in there. It's not crazy if you cold wash and hang dry, but it will be noticeable if you don't buy your stuff with ample room. If you put it in the dryer it...

Not at the moment. It is a very stiff fabric at first so size up and you'll be fine for that and for washing.

Okabilly is more tapered than Cisco, but has more room in the seat. The Cisco fits me well in other denim, but not in the century; I find that it rides up. As for the shrink, it could be .25-.5 of an inch, but when you're dealing with width that's a much bigger deal than length.

The most important thing to know about the century denim is that it is sewn with the fabric 90 degrees off from how most denim is sewn; the waist and length will not change much, but the leg/seat width can come down a LOT with washing, even without using a dryer. I have two Okabilly cut pairs...

I have a small winter wool Bedford and two size 1 deckhands. The 2011 deckhand is the slimmest and shortest, the 2014 is larger but the sleeve width still qualifies it as slim, the bedford looks tailored to my size but has the most layering room.

Makeup sounds amazing! Enjoy, everyone. Unfortunately I am out without a fitting 6 possible.

Sorry, yes it's their term for width. My Grasmeres in 6 are decent, but I'd probably be even happier with a 7. Incidentally, my question a few pages ago got lost: would anyone say that the 4444 is wider than the 4497s in the same size?

@Metrosey It's been a minute since I did an MTO. Can we get different fittings now (I need a 6 or 7) or does it all have to be the same like it used to?

Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread

Gentlemen, it's been forever since I've tried on a 4444 shoe and I don't remember it clearly. I take a 4497s in a 6 width, which is comfortable but still not quite wide enough. Is the 4444 in the same size longer in addition to being wider? Or is it not wider in the toe so much as it is deeper...

it's privately run and is occasionally appointment only (or just randomly closed) cause it's a vanity side project of a friend of the family who doesn't actually need to work (so basically like every other store on the plaza) make sure you schedule in advance

Anybody order from Matches during the sales? Got two Woodstocks and one Burford, two deer and one kudu, same size as my fav Burfords. All are exactly 1/8 an inch narrower. Now I have to wonder if Matches got the overseas sizing for some reason or if mine are marked incorrectly... Just curious...

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Wow, four sizes over. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna cancel and get measured/do try-ons in person if I ever make it to Spokane. I don't have the confidence I need to drop 500 on this order. Thanks for sharing your experiences, everyone.

    Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?

Anybody get truly outlandish size suggestions from Kyle at Baker even after doing all the tracings and measurements? I wear 7EE in Thorogood, 7.5 in Blundstone, 7.5EE in Nocona/Tony Lama, and 8EEEE from New Balance. He's telling me to order a 10E on the Swing Last which would be enormously long...

Kapital - hippies, Japanese farmers and post-apocalypse survivors

kapital boots are pretty rare outside japan the sizing is frustratingly numbered 0-5 and is usually lasted at a narrower than average D width footwear is the only thing i don't own from Kapital cause it contradicts their mobility/variable sizing theme
