If it literally hurts on sides of your feet and your toes are squished to the point of overlapping unnaturally, I’d consider 6.5E. If it’s just snug at the instep, that’s good. A loose instep causes heel slippage. You want that part snug. The shoe will stretch a little but not to the point that...- kylepw

It's a *****. But once you find your size, you're golden. General advice with 180s is to size down 1.5 from US size. I'm US 8D in 99.9% of my shoes and my 6.5D 180s fit like a glove.- kylepw

Any thoughts/experience with new "all-terrain" Antarès Chelsea Boot vs the Rubber Sole Chelsea Boot? Former's sole seems a touch thicker and the leather more matte finish. I wonder if the practicality overrides the aesthetics? @75009 You try the Antares?- kylepw

It really depends on the last. JMW is all over the place. Most common shoe is 180 loafer and rule of thumb is go down 1.5 sizes from your US size. I'm US 8D so JMW 180 6.5D. But, for example, in their Chelsea boot I wear 7E (many exchanges to figure this out; don't recommend).- kylepw

Anybody know why William Lockie only starts from size 40" on certain models? I really wanted a 2-ply cashmere Melrose Vee Neck, but the 40" was way too big (particularly around the waist). "Small face" guy here with trouble finding sunglasses. Bought JMM Zephirin 44s but noticed they sit higher than my other frames. Is this the design or perhaps bridge a bit too narrow? As far as fit/comfort, they feel great all day.- kylepw

Baudoin & Lange "Sagan" Belgian Loafers, a clumsy review of an elegant shoe
I went with the leather sole. I agree the "comfort" is a little overrated, but they're the sleekest, softest loafers I've ever owned. I plan on adding rubber half soles after wearing them in a little more.- kylepw
