    Rider Boot Company

Hi @kevenmee - any additional info you can share re: fitting issues? Lasts that do fit and sizes, as an example? I can try to help, but the general set-up for 3B last is it runs a bit large. Most trade down 1/2 size from standard (nevermind that there really is not a standard....) unless they...

Rider Boot for Styleforum Balmoral GMTO - shell, calf, and suede/calf models available - closes June

Ha...I didn't realize FOK had started this! I thought it was for later.....but this model has always been built on 3B last: http://riderboot.com/lasts-sizes/ Usually this last is fit 1/2 size down from 'standard'.

Buying shoes for your arch size?

Just popped in to look around and caught this. Not going to read the entire thread as it looks to be another pissing battle mostly, but - just so maybe someone learning from afar will notice - this comment could not be more wrong. Arch (heel-to-ball) is the most critical measure to long...

Nice. If they can get that finishing across a whole run, that's one hell of a good looking make up.

Shoe Damage Report & Shoe P0rn Central - Part II

Actually, these perfed wholecut patterns go back a long time.....here is from the Romano Martegani archives - 1980's. This is when a line builder named Bruno ???? (just can't remember the last name...want to say Paciotti but can't recall exactly) was doing Romano's lines. He was more...

    Leather Quality and Properties

Always interesting looking at those old articles - we don't have much of that left in this business. I had always heard that Haas created Box calf...quick look shows a similar article, dateline 1912, also crediting the Haas Tannery. Interestingly, they also claimed credit for a tannage...

EXACTLY! The manufacturer can file and handle all of the paperwork correctly........a retail store, however, is a different story. A retail cannot file the paperwork because they don't have the tag #'s TO file the paperwork - or the export license. The factory, yes. We do the same...

    Alligator / Crocodile Shoes

It's sort of like speeding....everyone does it, sometimes you get pulled over - most the time you don't. But when you do, it gets expensive. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is illegal to import App1 products without a license, a permit and the proper CITES docs. And a retailer...

I'm sure StC can guide you......or any brand for that matter. They will know how to do the paperwork and get them to you correctly.

    Alligator / Crocodile Shoes

Well, then, that's a problem........they can't send CITES goods across the border. Not legally, anyway. Also, remember that YOU are the importer of record......not the brand or shops responsibility to know import regulations as YOU are the one that will be held responsible. Of course...

**The Official Shoe Care Thread: Tutorials, Photos, etc.**

We did get them - and made them available to every retailer in both dropbox as well as keys to our FTP servers thing. Tarrago was much more in depth than Avel, but there were always guides available - that we asked accounts to post on their sites or at least be aware of to answer questions...

**The Official Shoe Care Thread: Tutorials, Photos, etc.**

Actually, I put every MSDS, every usage guide....told accounts what they could and couldn't ship, how to do all of the documents, everything.....into dropbox so they could access and share. Country distributors are responsible to manage that info. Very few retailers listened.....Sid...

    Alligator / Crocodile Shoes

Just keep in mind you can't import croc products into the US without a F&W license (or working thru a shop that has one), as well as filing CITES paperwork.
