Is that really true? A LOT of people seem to like overdrive and distortion pedals on top of cleaner amps. I guess it's a matter of opinion I much prefer the sound of real tube overdrive to distortion in a pedal. But I have and do use both depending on the situation. I'm not a fan of modeling amps, but that's just the purist cork-sniffer in me. Actually it would probably be a great amp for your current needs since you can dial around until you find a preset that sounds good to your ears. Wattage doesn't matter much until you crank the volume. Pio will be playing at bedroom levels anyway so soaking the power tubes is unlikely to happen anyway.
