    Can I wear a sport coat with a turtleneck to a restaurant that requests gentlemen to wear jackets?

    My plan is to hit up several nice restaurants when I travel around France. As I want to reduce the amount of clothing I bring with me, I'd love to get away with a sport coat and a turtleneck combo. Will it be okay for the establishments that requests jackets but not formal wear?
