    The Official RRL Thread

I happened to buy the white roll neck at the RL store in Boston a couple of weeks ago. I don't think they meant to have it out yet, but it is excellent. Heavy knit, open weave, great texture, slouchy drop shoulder and somewhat cropped which just nailed it for me fit wise. It does shed a bit...

Antonio from Sartoria Pastena Elegance has booked his US trip for next month. I have been really happy with my stuff from him, and I know he is fairly reasonable price wise. Here are the links to his calendar for the trip: Houston April 10 and 11 Atlanta April 12 and 13 Minneapolis April 14 and...

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

FWIW, Douglas mentioned they are releasing a bunch of new article in the Foxair line as it has been very successful for them. Not sure when they come out, but it should be soon. No other details at the moment however. -DL

Great memory, yes that was the day. Great hat too. I think it wears more olive in natural light and more muted indoors. I have a picture somewhere wearing it in the sun but can't find it sadly. -DL

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

I have a 6-ply in the dark brown and its excellent for trousers, there is some texture, but nothing to push it into jacketing. I did have it made with lower patch pockets to use the coat separately though. -DL

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

I agree, which is why I am struggling picking the cloth. The W.Bill is the standard, but I really don't like that the finish is smooth. I like the texture that the Fox hopsack has, but it really is stiff and heavy. I don't think it would work through the summer. The SB stuff is hard to tell from...

I saw that line on the Solbiati website, but there are no images of the colors. If not is there a site where I can see all the options? I crossed them off my list because I couldn't see anything on their site. -DL

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I have a few samples, but the only one I really like so far is from Fox and its HEAVY (17/18oz) hopsack. It has a great nubby texture: -DL

    Ongoing Bespoke Projects

Cross post from the Unfunded Liabilities thread. Thinking about getting a black linen suit made. Anyone here have one or have any experience with black linen? I want something I can wear to dinner or with denim at night with a white shirt, black polo or rayon shirt in the spring and summer. I...
