HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

I really like how you have your trousers made. Particularly the last one. It looks to have the largest opening but the silhouette of the trou look fitted in the most proper way. We just need to hike your trousers up higher Nah, they all look great. The brown suit looks great, blue one being...

Truthfully, I think anyone with big feet and pants on the tighter side look like they have clown feet. For that matter, anyone that wears pants of any kind, be it formal or casual, that taper too aggressively at the ankles will look like he/she has clown feet no matter the shoe size. It's not a...

I have a question. As I just realized pics I've seen on this forum are yours(for I rarely look at the poster), do your button stances sit pretty high? You sit with your jacket buttoned often and I am curious.

Whatever makes you happy, Clags. What we say/posit/think has no bearing on that. It is quite good. I thought someone sketched you while you sat on a chair for 2h :3

Quote: Didn't see this til now. Definitely true. I believe that will change to an extent as those cultural elements will gradually disappear throughout the generations that succeed them. To an extent and for some and not for others, depending on the cultural landscape, etc. etc. But it's just...

Well, I wear everything with cuffs if I can because it adds more weight and just makes things drape better. But my leg opening is 8"+ for casual wear(jeans & chinos) and 9"+ for formal wear since I wear size 12's. Cuffs will be better 95% of the time in my opinion. I did not mean for this to...

Hehehe, that's good. We make time for what is most important to us, indeed.

1st: No, I actually got that. I never interpreted what you said as I dont' care about mine either. Yes, I did say I'd rather pay someone because the energy and time that go into it for me isn't worth whatever benefits come from doing it myself(same for everything else). 2nd: Yes, I did, but I...

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

1st paragraph: Clothing is very important to me as well. If you knew me, you'd know how meticulous I am. My dad always asks "why do you bring your shoe trees with you?" when I take off my dress shoes anytime i take them off for more than 3h. It takes 5 mins because I am just so particular about...

That may be because everything we've seen him wear has a higher(current) button stance. Plus, none of his trou sit on his natural waist and is all low-rise stuff. I think the discussion is over at this point but I completely disagree with this statement. When we purchase clothing that we want...

quick question to everyone: does the short and tight trend run over to casual clothing as well? is it across the whole fashion industry?

    B.Nelson does a great job

X Post: Have any of you guys ever sent your Carmina shoes to B Nelson? Does he make the edge of the sole look the same as it was when you bought it brand new? Does he restore the sole edge dressing just the way the shoes come to us brand new. I like how the edge of the waist area is curved in...

    B.Nelson does a great job

@shoosensuits @Churchill W I think B Nelson is the better choice for AE and Alden shoes. You will end up paying $150 at AE. For that same price, you can get MUCH better soles(according to some experts here) at B Nelson that last longer. Meaning, the cost per every 10 years will be lower in...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Yowzer, I believe this is because english shoes have very little volume in the vamp(as do American shoes). hehe, my right arch is higher than my left but still wider(arch is not as dropped as left foot and yet it is wider, go figure), so I feel you.

Thank you for that terminology. I will most def ask him to trim it the way it came. Are these on the Oscar last?

I have the same ones in burgundy. Beautiful, beautiful color the both of them. I notice your creases mirror each other whereas mine do not. Curse my funnily shaped feet :[ Also, you have very high/large arches. I have to have inserts AND tongue pads just to fill out the shoe and my left shoe is...

Hi Bakes, thanks for responding so quickly. Yup, I meant does he restore the sole edge dressing just the way the shoes come to us brand new. I like how the edge of the waist area is curved in a convex manner - not square like those on AE and Alden shoes. I just want to know if he does it exactly...

Fellas, Have any of you guys ever sent your Carmina shoes to B Nelson? Does he make the edge of the welt look the same as it was when you bought it brand new? If not, who do you send your shoes to for recrafting and resoling?
