Any feedback on duffle coat sizing? I've got a single breasted polo in 42 from a few years back and a 44 DB polo from around the same time. 42 is snug over a sportcoat, wondering if the duffle is cut similarly or with more room?

I'd say at least on par with Carmina. But Justin's shoes are easier to break in for me.

@DG7 My 10.5D/E foot would be happier in a 44 than my current 43.5 F Vass boots. I would have guessed 43 for you but if they said 43.5 I'd go with that.

Congrats on the new Vass. I would be leery about sizing down, but it looks like the vamps are nearly closed already so as the shoe breaks in you might find some volume there. Maybe a tongue pad will help if it comes to that. I would think though that as the shoe breaks in the heel slip will...

I haven't noticed cracking using primarily wax, the grain probably helps from building up too much like you could with smooth calf. But I use both cream and wax like I would with any other shoe 🤷‍♂️

I kick myself for not getting in on Skoak's GMTO for these, great looking boots!

I have a pair of U-last oxfords in 43.5 - probably should have gone 44. I've added some of those corn donut bandages and moleskin to the shoe trees to stretch that pinky area of the shoe. Over time (2+ years) they've stretched enough where they're not pinching immediately, but I still can't...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I looked at the blue dial one as well (also great) but the green dial truly popped in person. I really like the Lange-esque style at the non-Lange price point as well. Maybe one day I'll be able to supplement this one with its big brother from another mother :P

Have you tried F in 44 to see if that's the right size for you?

I'll agree with that sizing. Room to layer but not too much room. Zipped up without the liner and laid flat I got 22.5" pit-to-pit.

@Moo Wenwu as another data point, I'm a 9.5 F UK (right between 10.5D/E for AE) in pretty much everything with Carmina Rain probably being my best fit, although too big in the heel. I went with a 43.5 in Vass' U-last and while the instep and width through the heel is great, I had to stretch the...

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I wouldn't say it's super fitted, as in I'm pretty sure I could layer up and/or gain a few pounds and still be able to zip it, but it's not a really baggy coat either. Room through the chest is good and while the armholes aren't high you can move around without it pulling. Sleeve width is...

Thanks! I wear a 42L in Spier and bought this jacket in a Large. I wore it without the liner over one of last year's slubby crewnecks and could have had a thicker layer on if needed. Probably would have been fine with the liner in too. Sleeve length is good also for my long arms.

Don't remember seeing much talk about the wax jackets. I put mine through its paces in the Highlands and it kept me warm and dry - solid buy from the 30% off sale fosho.

    Opinions On This Outfit Appreciated

I'd ditch the shirt for a light blue or white, with a spread collar as opposed to a button down collar. If the event is formal enough for a suit, I'd go with that instead of sportcoat/trouser combo. If it's not formal enough to need a suit, I'd opt for lighter pants, maybe light grey to give...

I've been eyeing this model on Chrono24 ever since you first posted it. Really like the color scheme and the dial texture 👍
