Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rh

I actually don't like the Marlow laces, I would try to get something else. They don't hold a knot as well as laces that are more waxed.

I actually don't know. I borrowed it off the internet somewhere....

I beg to differ. It is more than just a language issue. Balmoral oxfords are not only close throated, but they also have horizontal seam that goes from the vamp to the back of the shoe. Just like how an Adelaide is a specific type of oxford. Picture sourced from morningdressguide.com

Agree that the whole cut is more formal between the that and the captoe, but I'm not sure that would be my go to for an interview shoe. I still maintain that none of the shoes posted in the whole cut discussion are Balmorals though.

Believe me I know all about big orange divers. I have an Orange Samurai myself in titanium. I don't feel comfortable wearing that one to work, but I do have a Seamaster GMT also that I do feel comfortable wearing to work. I also have a vintage (60s) Omega that I bought that seems to be...

But at the same time don't confuse balmoral with oxford. All balmorals are oxfords, but not all oxfords are balmorals.

Sorry I wasn't clear in my last post, but what I was trying to address was your comment that divers were not appropriate for work. This is all subjective and would really depend on your work environment, but I don't think many people would care if you wore a diver or a formal watch in a...

I think most of the time people will not pay attention to your watch. Timex is even work appropriate for some people.

The Official Styleforum Vendors NYC Trunk Show Thread - Nov 16 and 17 - No Man Walks Alone, Kent Wan

Had a great time yesterday too and good to meet some new people, some old, and to see some wares in person. Thanks you to SF, the vendors, and RedDevil for the event!

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

I think if they did, they would be priced a little higher. I believe the shirts sell for around $50 - $60 in JPY, but are $80 in USD.

OK, that's where the confusion is. The whole cut is not a blucher/derby. Like Wurger says they are oxfords.

Are you recommending a plain toe blucher or the wholecut that he posted?

    Kent Wang - Affiliate thread

It's actually in the Union Square station near the 4/5/6 train. It is tiny. It is closest to the Food Emporium entrance on 14th street. I find that the Tacco leather insoles don't really make much of a difference in size. You are better off with these if you want to take up some volume.

When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale?

Have not heard anything about this yet, but that doesn't mean anything. Strange that there would be one this month though since there was one last month.

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Just to clarify the Punched Cap Oxford in burgundy is actually second from the right, not the far right one. The far right one is a sample that they made and is not in the production line.

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

did not ask for pricing on shell, but calf classic was US $210. Not sure what Linea Maestro was. I think they might have only had one size run for each shoe. Pepe said they brought two hundred pairs of shoes. Yes they did in dark brown but did not get pics as they were not on display...

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Went to the trunk show this morning. Think I was third in the door with two other people. It is on the top/4th floor of the address. The non-descript looking door next to Lulemon. You need to buzz to get in. Not sure which buzzer it was, but don't recall it being marked (I followed up the...
