    How to pinstripe Gambardine fabric

Pinstripes are normally part of the manufacturing process. You could top-stitch or embroider pinstripes, which may end up interesting or terrible depending on the execution. But there is the possibility of genius there. There are also companies like Jacquard Products that specialize in selling...

"What I'm Selling on eBay" - member auctions

Now I see why there are less and less true auctions on eBay. After disappointing auction-style listings, I’m either switching to buy it now or giving to charity. Get in on these and maybe score a bargain.

"What I'm Selling on eBay" - member auctions

Hello Gents - We've moved out of our city apartment and are now full-time residents in the country. I'm down 2 closets and a small storage space as a result, so reducing the hoard is necessary. The first batch is up with more to come. *Cheers* NWT RALPH LAUREN BLACK LABEL Orange Swim Trunks...

Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

Thanks! Even with three of the words in that title as keywords it wasn’t drilled down enough.

Is this "Burberrys vintage jacket" Fake ?

Could very well be a fake. Why anyone would choose that style to knock off is not really apparent—it's like a shirt-jac, which I don't really associate with Burberry. See attached pic. The Rs and the Y curve in more and the REGD looks off on yours.

Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

Hey guys - Is there a thread somewhere to announce member eBay auctions? I seem to recall there being one a while back and I've been searching and can't seem to locate it. TIA!

Cleaning sweat/armpit stains on dress shirts

Thank you. A Lyme-Literate Doctor (LLD) certainly helped. It took 6 years to diagnose and about a year to get rid of. Yeah, they're pricey, but I think they're worth it. If you sign up for their email list, they send deals every few months or so. Usually 20% off. Around major holidays, they'll...

Cleaning sweat/armpit stains on dress shirts

I had an issue with undiagnosed Lyme disease that made me sweat profusely. In my desire to save my expensive wardrobe from ruin and after much trial and error, I discovered the Thompson T. They’re T-shirts with sewn-in barriers that absorb excess perspiration and block stain-causing elements...

    Cheaney Fit

Unfortunately, I won't be much help here because the store had made a mistake in their inventory and I ended up with a different shoe entirely. Good luck!

Do these Glen Plaid pants work in this outift?

The shetland sweater might feel more congruent with something on the casual side. That pair (in this pic) appear to be bordering on "orphaned suit trouser" territory.

Favorite/recommended scarf for camel hair coat?

It would depend on the rest of my clothing that day, but I'd steer clear of camel scarf/camel topcoat.

    Fabric reweavers USA - awesome

A good resource for NYers: http://www.bestweavingandmending.com I brought in a brand-new camelhair sweater (that moths got to before I even wore it) and a cashmere turtleneck and was thoroughly impressed with the work. The price of repair was much lower than replacing the garments. They're...

Suit accessories for a formal evening occasion (wedding)

Classic wedding ties are often checked—macclesfield, houndstooth, glen plaid, shepherd's check—and have a simple colorway. http://www.drakes.com/online-shop/ties/classics/woven-end-on-end-8cm-silk-tie http://www.drakes.com/online-shop/ties/classics/woven-end-on-end-8cm-silk-tie-7834...

Where to get alterations done in NYC?

Alright. Here are some personal suggestions, but I have no idea what "cost efficiency" means to you or what areas you frequent. For a sports coat or a full suit, I would go to Sam Wazin at 57 West 57th Street. Excellent quality, definitely not the least expensive. For the trousers, I would...

Please help me pick out a tie for a wedding.

A silver tie would look great with a white shirt and charcoal suit and works day or evening.
