An update from Pastena. Cloth is Caccioppoli 80/20 silk/linen. Should make for a excellent casual jacket with undyed denim and stone linen trou.

An update. Big fan of the cloth. The hand is super nubby and the color resolves almost more grey-brown than green at distance, which creates a cool effect. A great casual summer jacket.

    Zegna CashCo 75113.

I’m glad I could inspire a debate. My most recent commission was also (mostly) cotton, so I suppose I am profligate.

I've been mulling a cotton suit for Fall and Spring -- unstructured and no canvas. This mossy LP cloth might be ideal. How silky is the hand? Ideally, I think I'd like something a bit drier and more utilitarian-looking.

I ordered a jacket in this washed-out green herringbone. It's definitely on the unique side but I feel the color resolves to a grey-green and the mossy flecks lend a subtle pop. We shall see.

Something a bit different. Planning to have a few watch straps commissioned. The skins are so-called "nubuck" alligator from a Hermès tannery (I believe d'Annonay). Likely planning to give the project to David Lane. Big shout out to Nicholas Templeman for supplying the hides!

An off angle view, but pleased with how my Zegna CashCo is coming along with Pastena. A lovely cloth that drapes and (per Antonio) tailors incredibly well.

Damn, this is sad to hear. I visited the shop in London over the summer and it was an awesome place. Furthermore, Jake is an incredibly cool dude. A buddy plays for the Anglo-Italian cricket team, so maybe I'll see if he has any details. Now I just need to collect the jacket they completed in...

Excellent home! Great neighborhood! Only lightly haunted after the incident!

I had some shirts made by Anna over the summer. They were listed at 550Є apiece but they extended a discount for cash, paid in person in Naples.

I didn't give much direction, tbh. I requested a less formal and more natural, extended shoulder, and this is the result. While the more dramatic Eyetalian expressions have their place, I feel the Neapolitans can get a little exaggerated. As someone with relatively wide shoulders and athletic...

Took my latest Pastena commission out for a spin. LP wool/silk seersucker. I'm a big fan of how my requested tweaks -- extended shoulder with minimal padding and a more capped expression, lowered gorge, lowered chest pocket, lowered buttoning point -- panned out. Going to get this same...

Not the same lines/angularity but similar function is Hans Olsens's Fried Egg Chair. More of a shelf than the womb chair (granted, only on one side). https://www.danishdesignstore.com/products/hans-olsen-fried-egg-chair-warm-nordic

I had a beaver fur coat in college that I would wear to winter day-drinking parties. Can confirm beaver attracts beaver.

Most of those pics are of Aleks Cvetkovic. He's a good dude and a snappy dresser. The biggest risk in tees with suits is the dreaded "Dick in a Box Effect." I'll only wear tees with blended odd jackets and suits -- linen, cashmere, silk, etc. It feels like you need some texture to overcome the...

Both the puppytooth and windowpane are sensational. What's the tariff on that?

Kicked over to Napoli for a forward fitting of the LP seersucker. Made some tweaks to the standard Pastena silhouette -- lowered the gorge and chest pocket, extended the shoulder and minimized padding, increased the length and swept the skirt a bit. Antonio is also nipping the waist slightly...
