These just came back from Spa treatment in Northampton.They are ageing with grace and are extremely comfortable. I always found that re-dampening the shoe (wet cloth/sponge) and letting it dry in a well ventilated area away from any heat source got rid of 'waters stains'*. Once dry, treat with cream and polish. *Waters stains aren't actually made by the water itself. When leather shoes get wet sometimes...- Crat

You see this regularly with roughout suede / waxed suede. The smooth surface is due to the suede fibers being stuck together by the wax from the tanning procedure. Even light contact will leave a mark on roughout suede though this mark is not a cut but more a disturbance of the suede fibers in...- Crat
