I revisited this website recently, as my son is really close to being able to walk/run which will mean encounters with our dog (5 year old ***** Pyr). www.liamjperkfoundation.org

Really want this, but my space is not a loft nor a French chateau - not sure if it will work.

Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread

What is the skill level needed to let out the waist on my 10oz and Duck Rivets? Not sure if I should make an out-of-my-way trip to see a skilled tailor.

Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread

Had my 10oz and Duck Canvas Walts delivered the other day, and I'm very impressed with the fabric and construction quality. Oh and the time from order to delivery was more than reasonable for an international order - thank you folks at Epaulet! I would like to cuff the pants but not sure if I...

How do I convince my wife that vintage watches do not carry with them the spirits of their past owners?

    First proper watch

I've seen some great pictures of the 3227-01, and ^ is up there with the best. OP - have you tried on this watch? I'd be hesitant to purchase without feeling it on the wrist due to it's unconventional shape.

    First proper watch

You're right, J, but Reversos should be on leather. While I'm sure the quality of the bracelet is up there with the other facets of the watch, they look bad IMO.

    First proper watch

Both the AP Dualtime and VC Overseas Dualtime use a JLC movement - not sure if there are others.

    First proper watch

Will everyone stop referring to the Explorer as the Explorer I! Rimmers. The OP wants a watch on bracelet, so stop recommending Reversos. Rimmers. Surprised no one mentioned the Speedy Pro - looks great with anything but a tux, and can be worn anywhere but in the pool/sea. With a $5k budget...

Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

Looking for suggestions on slim fitting pants/trousers that are not chinos/khakis - for a casual leaning business casual workplace. I have several shades of khakis but don't feel right wearing them in the colder months. I want them to be versatile enough to wear them outside of work. Price <...

My advice would be to move. You can bring your parents' beastly dog to Canada.

I get this all the time with Yoda; she's on the small side for a pyr and is most often identified as a white retriever, but once people realize the difference in size, they guess her weight to be 90-100+ lbs.

    lefty's random dog thread.

By proper pack I meant a group of dogs that are not tense around each other, heads are low...each dog knows its place ie. not alpha. Funny you mention the motion thing.....I'm currently dog sitting a friend's male sheltie; first day I discover he's very standoffish and doesn't want to have...

    lefty's random dog thread.

A few more comments after re-reading your post J: Affinity to dog parks were not part of the criteria just something I discovered recently during some time between jobs. I used to have some chickens and ducks she unsuccessfully guarded from indoors and, now, she guards the property as well as...

^^ Yeah, I'm very fortunate to be acquainted with these people - indebted to them for the little I do know too. They share your sentiments about the parks. It's just that on the rare occurrence where Yoda did not get in a fight, she really seemed to enjoy herself. Anyway, took the advice a long...

    lefty's random dog thread.

My spayed Pyr has been showing dominant behaviour since reaching adulthood; the situation really only gets escalated with medium/large breeds, dogs or bitches, and never towards pups. Yoda really only gets into it with other dogs at leash-free parks but, living in a rural area, we don't come...

    lefty's random dog thread.

Yoda's a 4 and change year old Great Pyrenees and has been eating Origin kibble since we got her - never a problem with any of the puppy or adult formulas except the Buffalo flavour Finn referred to in his post above - it did not agree with Yoda's stomach, so out it went. Expensive lesson...
