Are you saying that there's more to life than being really, really, really ridiculously good looking?

I have a MTM from them in the lightweight and an OTR rack one in the two-ply. The two-ply is far superior. I kind of hate the lightweight: I feel like it has to be ironed in order to look decent, whereas the two-ply, I can hang it dry and it's good to go (it certainly doesn't look pressed, but...

I came here to read what everyone was saying about the models and the styling and am glad that I'm not the only one. Another weird thing is that the full range of sizes is not available for some suits (and maybe some sport coats). I'm a 42S and one of the reasons I was drawn to SM was because...

As much as I love Spier & Mackay and will continue to buy from them, the daily emails are really starting to bug me as well. I don't even bother opening them anymore, and barely even look at the subject line. Tempted to unsubscribe.

I'm trying to decide between the two brown Glen Plaid jackets that are currently available: the Bottoli wool/linen blend and the Baird McNutt 100% linen. Has anyone been able to compare these side by side? Even though it says that the Bottoli is 250 GSM and the Baird McNutt is 208 GSM, it looks...

I'm having real regrets that I missed out on the Bottoli Brown Prince of Wales in linen/wool. If anyone has a 42S that they'd like to part with, let me know. I'd really like to do one MTO, but don't see it listed as an option in the fabrics.

    Filson Bag Thread: With Pictures

Has anyone had any issues taking a zipper tote as a "personal item" on a flight recently? My wife was concerned that they might deem it too large, though it doesn't really seem bigger than my Filson laptop bag that I've taken on multiple flights. Any insight appreciated.

I'm kind of shocked that there has been no discussion of the navy seersucker that they teased on Instagram yesterday.

I agree, a nice upgrade! Though it still bugs me that they zip up from the bottom.

So basically it would likely cost more than $30? Again, it would be cheaper to go MTO.

Have you done this successfully? I have a good tailor and have no problem taking jackets to her to get the sleeves shortened or getting pants hemmed, but shortening shirt sleeves from the top just seems like a lot. Also, getting a $50 from from SM and then spending--what?--$30 to get the sleeves...

Yeah, I was considering dipping my toe in the denim shirt water, but the lack of sleeve lengths was a dealbreaker for me.

It seems like a very versatile piece to me. Grey flannel, khaki, jeans (if you swing that way).
