I hand-washed that exact jacket once and it has lost a lot of color and the fabric’s crispness, and it has shrunk massively. Had to sell it for next to nothing (effectively like 40 Euros per wear 🤪). I have one of them. Indeed, it is surprisingly light and breezy — much more so than their denim and canvas. Also very dry to the touch on the inside, what I find much nicer in summer than soft fabrics like on the tencel chores.- trg12

Same positive surprise here – that denim chore has been one of my most-worn light jackets. Gives me extra joy as I find the lighter blue washed versions somewhat more interesting in product pics and hope that I can wear the dark one close to them- trg12

If you’re in Europe the Nordstrom-prices are DDP, so 640 Euro is what you pay. I have been hunting for the exact same jacket for over a year and haven’t seen it cheaper yet. In my experience re-attaching the original hem makes the leg opening stiff and prevents the trousers from draping well (maybe I haven’t seen it done very well though). There are small denim shops in most rich countries that offer chainstitch hemming (had it done in Germany and in France)- trg12
