    Le De Bonne Facture Thread

I hand-washed that exact jacket once and it has lost a lot of color and the fabric’s crispness, and it has shrunk massively. Had to sell it for next to nothing (effectively like 40 Euros per wear 🤪). Also watch out as DBF buttons in my experience are very prone to unravel in the wash. Really...

The unofficial Drake's London Appreciation Thread

I'm between a 40 and a 42 in most casual Drake's jackets – recently opting for 42s more often. I have one of the unlined raw (or one-wash?) denim chores in 42 which feels exactly like all other (non-linen) chores size-wise. I've washed it a couple of times and it behaves like all denim – it...

I have one of them. Indeed, it is surprisingly light and breezy — much more so than their denim and canvas. Also very dry to the touch on the inside, what I find much nicer in summer than soft fabrics like on the tencel chores.

It’s the first time I’ve seen fatigue-chore suiting from them. It looks very cool in the shots, but I’m unsure how it would feel in real life.

I’m between a 16 and 16.5 in the OCBDs and wear an L in last season’s linen shirts that fit non-snug. I haven’t handled an XL unfortunately.

There’s one of the old cotton-cashmere ones in 44 on eBay ending in 45 mins: https://www.ebay.de/itm/166608250228 I have a pair of trousers in that fabric and like it a lot.

Great looking jacket! It’s also back to made in Italy

Same positive surprise here – that denim chore has been one of my most-worn light jackets. Gives me extra joy as I find the lighter blue washed versions somewhat more interesting in product pics and hope that I can wear the dark one close to them

Oh no, this may be a lesser sale then. Got that jacket shipped DDP to Germany in November for 670.-

If you’re in Europe the Nordstrom-prices are DDP, so 640 Euro is what you pay. I have been hunting for the exact same jacket for over a year and haven’t seen it cheaper yet. Archive sale was 655 plus shipping and Goods and C&C don’t land much below that. Feels unreasonable, but 650.- seems to...

I had the exact same realization a few days ago. That chore has been one of the most attracting pieces for me for years and suddenly not even the Jules-pictures of it made it feel interesting. Finally found one of the 42 suede overshirts last week and now I’m wondering how fast it will fall out...

In my experience re-attaching the original hem makes the leg opening stiff and prevents the trousers from draping well (maybe I haven’t seen it done very well though). There are small denim shops in most rich countries that offer chainstitch hemming (had it done in Germany and in France)

Do you maybe remember the name of the EG pants you matched to that Bedford? I I love the Bedford, but have a hard time to understand their trouser line-up
