Is the gap between Americans and Europeans too vast?

I find this very strange. I’ve spent most of my 3-decade career working across borders and I can say without a doubt that the people in the US and Europe dress more alike now than at any other point I can recall. If anything, I think that style variations tend to be between different ‘tribes’...

Thanks for the reply. Appears that I did not - I’ll follow up with CS.

CAVOUR Official Community - Discuss Tailoring, Shirting, Shoes & More - Official Affiliate Thread

I’m sure this is a silly question - I have an “Issued Bonus” and “Saved Bonus” listed under my account. However, I don’t see any obvious way to use them on a purchase. I’ve asked Customer Service about it and have been told that an email would be forthcoming about using them, but to date, I’ve...

I tried to use the code but it was rejected. Oh well, I've emailed the NWMA team and will await their reply.

Is anyone else having an issue with their store credits not showing up? I was trying to check out this evening using these but upon login, the usual link on the left side of the My Account page was not there and when I tried to enter the gift card number associated with these store credits at...

Bit late for this reply, but great outerwear and location! Nice to see pics of The Haven.

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

I have 1 shirt in REDA wool flannel. The fabric is shirt-weight. Similar to standard mid-weight cotton flannel. I suppose you could make a very light over-shirt, but it’s not a beefy, bullet-proof flannel if that’s what you’re looking for.

    The Made-to-Measure Thread

You do! Fwiw, NMWA did a SC for me from Sartoria Carrara last winter. Fox Bros fabric, turned out really well. Greg did the fitting/measurement using a base RTW model with tweaks to eliminate some bunching in the back right below the neck (along with a couple of other sizing changes). Very...

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

If you‘re in NYC (or environs) and don’t want to go full bespoke but are not able to get RJ to take the LL cloth, Sartoria Carrara via No Man Walks Alone does CMT-MTM. I did an MTM SC through Greg recently and am quite pleased with the results, especially at the very reasonable price. Greg is...

٭٭٭ No Man Walks Alone - Official Affiliate Thread ٭٭٭ (a.k.a. I shouldn't have slept on it)

I’m in anything from jeans, shirt (and likely a sweater in the winter) to sports coat, trou and shirt some days. Depends on what I have going on that day. It’s generally casual. I won’t do full on weekend wear to the office, however. The dress code (or lack thereof) hasn’t changed versus the...

    Best Trouser Makers

Agree with the assessment of Ambrosi. I have 3 pairs of Ambrosi MTO (with covid + the earlier delivery/timing issues with Ambrosi bespoke in the US, have not taken that step yet) and they are truly beautifully made. I find I wear them more frequently than my Pommella pairs, although that could...

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

If it helps/is still relevant, this is the H&S fabric (or at least the current version of it) from Chan-made SC. The lapels are 4.25” according to Chan (although that’s apparently from memory as the piece was made 3 yrs ago).

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Pretty sure that’s HK. It’s the same background and set up they used when they put a piece they made for me on their Insta account. And I’ve only ever been a customer of the HK operation. Someone could email Patrick / the main email address and ask - they’re quite responsive.

Very, very high quality shoes. Not sure which line this is (there are three, I believe), but the top line is among the best RTW shoes available (hand work all over) and the mid-tier isn’t far off that. I don’t have experience with the Essenzia line, but I’d be shocked if they were anything but...
