Hi All, I cleaned my chili colored AE shoes with saddle soap and in one spot it looked like the soap got absorbed by the leather and was darker than the rest of the shoe until it dried. After it dried it became lighter than the rest of the shoe and wouldn't go away even after a couple of layers...- Sushi

Yes/ I polished them when I first got them, about a year ago. Since then I would just reapply some more polish every once in a while. A few days ago I started applying polish in small amounts first, but after about 5 layers and not much difference I tried thicker layers as well. It's almost like...- Sushi

Having trouble getting mirror shine on AE strands. I got to a point where no matter how much more I buff them with Saphir Pate de Luxe + water, there's no improvement. The surface is somewhat shiny, but I can still see the pores very clearly. Any advice?- Sushi

Is the crease on the right shoe's cap toe normal? The shoes are 1-2 months old. I usually see shoes crease past the cap toe, but not on the cap toe itself.- Sushi

Thanks for the words of encouragement and inspirational photos :) I definitely spent more than one hour on one shoe, but I've read that first time shine usually takes longer. Thanks, benhour. My room temperature is around 27C. I'll give your method a try, but it's not radically different from what I've been doing. The difference is that every guide I've seen says to use the tiniest amount of polish and you're recommending a "generous" amount :) Update: tried...- Sushi
