I used to be a fairly avid ‘boner’ but as @JFWR indicated, in my experience, they looked great until the next wear and then the rolls came back. In addition to @smfdoc comment, to the best of my knowledge, the B&M make is the only one with a flat welt. I can’t justify knew but have been scanning all the usual places for a used pair. I have always found Alden suede to fit a bit snug when compared to their shell offerings and typically size just as you have described. Same length, up one width.- Shawnc
