Tanh Tailoring at the intersection of Hanson and Torrens Road. Charged me about $150 for a shirt recently with a decent quality cotton. I also got him to make me a Suit about 6ish years ago. I won't mention the price as it would have obviously increased by now but it was the best fitting suit...

Not many options in Adelaide for good suits or shirts. I've tried most of the MTM operations for shirts and found them to be disappointing. Oscar Hunt are probably the best you'll find here. Lately I've been getting most of my shirts from a couple of the vietnamese tailors around Woodville. The...

Should I buy a double-breasted suit as a large guy?

I'm a huge fan of double breasted suits. I held of for a long time because I was worried they would not suit my size (6'2" 230lb). I think it's important to make sure that it fits you well, so I'd avoid getting one RTW if that's even possible these days. I would suggest going bespoke, or at...

I find that Thomas Mason's Royal Oxford weave does a great job of resisting wrinkles. I know A Proper Cloth and Oscar Hunt both have this availabe As I've made orders through both of them over the years. TM is a bit pricey though. I know other make he same weave but have never tried them, and...

    John Lobb Appreciation Thread

Damnit! I was all psyched up to join the John Lobb fan club, and then my first pair arrived from Italist like this... Any ever seen anything like this before on theirs or any new shoe? Not sure of it should be a strike against the vendor or JL for letting these out of the factory in the first...

What for? Where are you? When do you need it? You won't get much useful help unless you add some detail.

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

I've been eyeing that one as well. Perhaps if there is enough to go round we could make a single order to get it to Aus. With USPS what it is atm i couldn't justify any order from the States that didn't justify DHL.

Oscar Hunt starts at 1k with Dugdale Brothers cloths starting at $1200. The range at that price point is pretty limited but if you are looking to start a business wardrobe there are plenty of good options there. I was in there yesterday gearing up to rebuild my own work rotation from scratch...

You could be right mate. The main reason I am considering it is that i really like the Neapolitan style that they do and there really aren't any options for that in Australia. Furthermore between covid restrictions and recent lifestyle changes I don't think I will be travelling interstate...
