Silo might get around on that (but hey, you can also watch it without her and not tell her that). Leans way more on the Dystopian Mystery side of things than the actual SciFi elements. It is certainly no Star Wars with aliens, space ships, lasers, etc.- otc

Made it through the end of Fallout yesterday. Took me until now for similar reasons...wife can't really watch more than one at a time and needs a palate cleanser afterwards due to all of the over the top video game violence/gore. Good stuff though. The games were never really on my radar, but...- otc

The same people probably ***** about "new math" too... Even though maybe if they had been taught math in a way that more broadly emphasized problem solving techniques + word problems rather than rote memorization and equations, they might have an easier time recognizing that they actually could...- otc

Yeah, props to the photographer. I assume the owner got a significant discount right? Like I have a gray mountain bike...I never would have chosen the color, but I paid less than 50% MSRP for a dentist bike (Yeti) so I accepted it. I'd take a GT3RS for a 50% non-skittle discount.- otc

I didn't realize that's where the Shogun book ends. Certainly explains the pacing and existence as a miniseries! I guess it makes sense given the history of Japan and the transition into the Edo period, but I'm semi-surprised that he never wrote a continuation.- otc
