Well done. I might give it a try on my Pembrokes. Looks really nice.

I like that hint of burgundy. Was that originally on the shoes or did you add this yourself?

Come rain or snow or both - or whatever - I'm prepared. Coniston Dark Brown RO.

Did some research on this. It appears that the apron fronted design aimed to add water resistance by lifting the seams higher. In derbies and oxfords the seams usually go all the way to the sole, but with apron they stay higher, except the split-toe seam for which there are some magical seam...

That is an interesting model that stands out and has gone under my radar. The vibram sole complements the rough-out leather so nicely; both have a bit of outdoors character. I have the Coniston brown RO and while I do like it I think it might be even better with a vibram. The black Coniston RO...

Islay. I recall from previous posts that @T1mb0 got this from some store that had mtoed the model. It has larger brogue than the C&J standard broguing. Looks so great! I can't wait to get my Tan SG Islay.

The way I see it, is that if I am ready to purchase C&J stock models in the first place, then adding a 50 GBP for the half below tongue makes very little difference as the GMTO price is close to that, but we get exactly what we want which is the purpose of the GMTO. Dropping the belows tongue...

    Crockett & Jones MTO Central

Sounds good at least to give it a try. I certainly can not say that I urgently need yet another pair of shoes. :embar:

    Crockett & Jones MTO Central

I think the half bellows tongue is just spot on for the Islay, because I consider it a bit more outdoors boot. All in all, the spec for the tan Islay is perfect. I am worried as well about the final price including the VAT to EU etc. additional charges. I added myself to the GMTO list and I...
