tbf, i did say with rare exceptions...also, let me clarify one of my statements...we were originally talking more about 'traditions' (or 'rules', whichever you prefer) than 'trends'...and i intertwined the two to make a point...that is, that i dont think of politicians when i think of either...- mark e

politicians--with rare exceptions--are not style trend-setters...period --fred astaire's jacket is vented because he was a dancer and needed the room to move--this is from a dance number...i'd bet the rest of the time they werent vented you can spend all of your time searching the internet for...- mark e

you've made a fundamental assumption error...the 'rich and powerful'--photos of which you've posted mostly politicians, who Were never and Will never be considered style 'influencers', unless they are also celebrities for other reasons (now-King Charles' sons, for example)--in fact, as has been...- mark e

How do you deal with pit stains?
you dont have to shave your pits...just use a trimmer to cut the hair very short...any of the widely advertised/available trimmers will do...wahl, braun, whatever...use the normal blade, and put the shortest guard on it so you dont bite or cut the skin, this will cut it about 1-2mm long---works...- mark e

Do these blazers match the pants?
mmm...just curious...do those blazers belong to someone else?...#1 appears to be at least a full size too small (pinched shoulders, puckered and creeping too-short sleeves) and #2 maybe a 1/2size small with too-long sleeves, and both too short---enhh, you kids...you're young, you could get away...- mark e
