Question for the experts: I was looking at the C&J site at some Radnor 4 boots. They are about $200 cheaper on the UK site than on the US site. Is there any difference where you order the boots? Appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you- coloradojeff

Don't know if this will help but I just bought a pair of the Unlined Chukkas at Alden in NYC. They measured my feet and gave me several options. I normally wear a 9.5 D in almost everything. I agree with you on Mephistos' styles. I don't get them either. I've had Mephisto Hurrican shoes for years. Very comfortable, great soles, good leather, last forever, rebuildable. The new ones I bought are a lightweight version of a bit loafer. Very lightweight but I'm not sold on them yet...- coloradojeff

Heel slippage is normal for a stiff soled shoe or boot. As the sole starts to flex the heel slippage will stop. You can help the process by flexing the shoe with your hands.- coloradojeff

I went to C&J in Manhattan yesterday. A lot of shoes on sale but the selection was only fair. Frankly I was somewhat disappointed at the offerings....still, worth a call to see if they have something on sale in your size.- coloradojeff
