Loden shoes - what to wear them with?

About two years ago I bought a pair of Carmina loden officer boots. I’ve barely ever worn them - these have been one of those “nice to look at” purchases.

I really hate them with dark denim, and they just seem to clash with every color.

Wondering how people pull these off in a last ditch effort not to get rid of these.

If I had to choose trousers to go with that, Black corduroy would be my first choice I think. I can see how black jeans (depending on how dark they are) might end up with a too similar color value.
