We've had a pretty solid run of wet weather and the duster is still my go to for dog walks in sideways rain. I know they are in the pipeline again and I'd fully recommend it, just looks better and better with wear as well.

I have gotten a lot of wear out of the duster. I find myself reaching for it even when the weather doesn’t quite justify it. Every other raincoat feels so mundane by comparison with the added bonus it’s very effective at its job.

I'm 5'6, somewhat “built” for a petite guy and wear it unshortened. I think if you fill out the rest of the jacket that last 3/4" is down to taste.

If I didn’t already have two blue coats from SEH Kelly I’d be very tempted. I’d imagine this will enter the usual rotation and reappear in future years in a variety of brand appropriate colours?

I’m likely talking through my hat here but I find it fascinating how enlarging the epaulets and extending off the shoulder seems to do more to “demilitarise” and soften the piece than just removing them all together.

As does basically everyone. I don’t think the distinction is meaningful anymore I was just giddy to get to use the champagne / sparkling wine meme.

A classic blazer is navy with gold buttons and has to come from the Blazer region of France. Everything else is just a sparkling sport coat.

I think I've left it long enough between pesters to not qualify as a full blooded nuisance. Is the tweed SB3 still on track? You mentioned dark brown and charcoal, any particular pattern to the mix?

I’d mentioned previously almost coming to blows with my tailor when I told him the price of the SB3 / trouser combo. He used the words “producers selling their souls manufacturing overseas”. When I dropped it was made in the UK he was a breath short of calling me a liar. I consider the pieces I...

I’ve found I’m wearing jeans less and the jeans I do wear are relatively wide leg and medium to high rise. They just can’t compete on comfort. One of the gifts of getting older is no one blinks if you’re wearing pleated trousers to walk your dog.

I say increase the rise, all the way up. A nice pair of tweed overalls.

Under the flap, the opening runs vertically. The pocket would usually go across the full width of the jacket and is accessible from either side.

Looks like a poacher's pocket for the stuffing of a recently shot pheasant or maybe a collapsible umbrella.

If it’s anything like the cedar cord work jacket the heavy corduroy material needs to be broken in like a leather jacket. The drape evolves with wear.

Just checking in the SB3's haven't been shelved for the season? Any pics of the tweed to be used would be very warmly welcomed. Also I don't think I explicitly said it but please let me know when they do land.

One more question on upcoming releases, based on what you mentioned are we looking at closer to years end for the cool weather weight SB3?

Had a strange conversation with my usual tailor last week while bringing an SB3 in to be adjusted. He's always complimentary of the SEH Kelly items I bring in and there's been a few. This time he asked what I paid, and then launched into a impassioned rant about designers selling their souls and...
