If the price is right, I would be interested if you don't want to keep them.

Wonder if the Tarlow name is the same family as the Alden Tarlows?

Well here it is 20 years later, and I have seen the Cape Cod shoes in the Alden catalog for at least the last five years. The pair I own have generous-thickness uppers and show no signs of Italian heritage in their materials, design, or construction.

If you are saying the the Cape Cod Collection is not made by Alden, that's news to me - I was always under the impression the Cape Cod line was 100% Alden, but with other than GYW sole construction. The pair I own has great leather uppers, BTW and is very well made.

If Alden makes a shoe for Brooks Brothers, they only show one width letter.

From my experience, the British code for width fittings is E=narrow, F=regular, and G=wide

Executive Imperial was the trade mark of shoes from the Mason Shoe Co. of Wisconsin, I believe. Was Goodyear welted but often with vinyl rather than leather welting material. A second tier shoe, below Florsheim, Nettleton, etc. Sold originally through door-to-door sales reps.

I second those those thoughts - the responsible party for any disruption in the USPS is now cooling his heels in "exile"

... and I highly suspect this company was owned by the Tarlow family of Alden Shoe Company

Over the years I have had, in addition to my (about a dozen pair) normally-branded Aldens, I have had three Alden for BB pair, all without combination width markings. I have found, BTW, that the Alden for BB shoes can sometimes be gotten at a very modest price (but not always)

Not if they are made for Brooks Brothers, in fact

I have a pair with model number A764 that appear to be identical, they were made by Alden but branded for Brooks Brothers. It's a great style with the visible grommets and a very slightly snub-nosed toe shape.

I'm thinking they are one of the Cape Cod Collection, which is a lower priced, non GYW, line from Alden.

A perfect example of how bonded leather spontaneously deconstructs, even if the shoe is unworn.

I'm guessing Plymouth Shoe Co.which was out of business by the early 70's. They were a quality shoe.

Let's look seriously at the easier alternative for a shoe meeting - a Zoom session. I would be all for that practical and inexpensive way to mutually share and enjoy our collections.
