Awesome stuff, if I lived in Vietnam this would be a no brainer. Looks like excellent tailoring.

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Somehow I like the crispness in a suit. While the patterns intent is as a jacket, presumably, I think the crispiness you seek (which fox air does well) seems more suited for a suit. But that’s just for me - doesn’t mean it’s right for you. Presumably, Fox issued the patterned fabrics for...

Are they still in business? I thought I heard (could be mistaken as I don’t check often) they went out of business.

I haven’t seen a miss from standeven. It’s not as well marketed. But, they do good stuff.

Samples from Fox. I quite like that fa5 I’m considering fa15 for a pair of odd trousers

Well. Objectively that suit was an abomination & didn’t fit right. Wasn’t well made.

Totally agree - I like the idea of a tan suit but can’t justify it. That new fox fabric will sit in my idea bank for a while. It’s like a neat suit to have but I’m not sure where I’d wear it.

I’m confused: holland & sherry offers a 40% polyester fabric? I find that hard to believe (and I am not a h&s fan - not for me, not say it it’s bad). I’d second this.

Not snaggy like a hopsack or mock Leno. Totally agreed. For me, fa 5. But, that new one looks really nice too. With a Florentine tailor, no dart in the front. Something I’m thinking about. I think it’d be cool as a suit. Maybe it’d be tough to wear for business (but I think tan suits are tough...

The Armoury - Official Affiliate Thread

I think, another way to think about it is the Milanese-inspired stuff is Sant’andrea. The Florence / Napoli / ivy (softer stuff) is ring jacket. It makes sense given the character of the factory’s “house” style

Roger is a bespoke tailor in London. I’ll defer to him on this.
