Looking for Fitted Jeans Recommendations for Muscular Legs

I have the same issue. Reproduction 1947 Levi's 501s are great. You don't just have to get them from Levi's (in fact, that's quite an expensive and poor value way to go, although my wife bought me a pair and I have to say I love them). Lots of repro brands do versions. Sugarcane is popular.

    Margaret Howell/MHL

Do you have any measurements? I'm probably a small but MH often fits reaaaal slim

You might be better off with the 107, it's much slimmer there.

The inseams get shorter, sometimes by as much as an inch, as you go down a size. I have a pair of 107s in size 2 and the inseam is maybe 30".

The What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT) Discussion Thread, Part II

Love how you manage to make bold items look completely natural, that shirt looks great with the belt.

    Nigel Cabourn

I thought this was a nice addition: https://www.cabourn.com/en-us/products/new-navvie-blazer-brown Not quite sure how I'd wear it, though. With khakis in the summer and treat it like informal workwear tailoring?

It's a good troll, I'd assume. Given their ethos, doing a silly back-to-front concept seems quite unlikely. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

To be honest, the jacket looks a little tight on the shoulder anyway, so you may want to size up. I can't speak to the shrinking, I'm afraid.

To follow up on this, yes indeed my 107s have loosened up to where they're pretty comfortable.

This is good to hear, thank you! I will persevere. I think they're already starting to loosen a little, it's quite a tightly-woven denim so I imagine it takes longer than the left-hand twill stuff I'm used to.

Adding to the questions about 107s and thighs... Do they stretch much at all? Just wondering because I have a new pair that fits great everywhere except the thighs which are pretty snug. I assumed they'd probably shift a half inch but if that's not true then I should probably cut my losses and...

Why does men's fashion come mostly from England and Italy (and America)? Why not France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Austria, etc?

Also the ruling class in the US were mostly WASPs, so their clothing tastes are what set the stage for Ivy/Trad with its love of British heritage garments. And the US is the preeminent modern power, so its cultural norms tend to dictate business attire in emerging markets. What I'm really...

Aha well perhaps I'll go in for the Tropical Worsted, I always love your earthier colors :) Edit: Quick question—I live in the American Midwest (though I'm actually from Brighton, long story) so I'd like to combine shipping, if I wait until trousers become available will the tropical worsted...

I am unreasonably excited about the linen suit—do you yet know what color it'll be available in? And what rough weight the fabric will be?

Random Fashion Thoughts (Part 3: Style farmer strikes back) - our general discussion thread

Yes and they're dressing for their fellow nerd fashion community, with its own codes and references that I'm not likely to follow. But I can still appreciate it, and them, for unironically and unashamedly enjoying what they're in to. Good for them. Also, most of us have lived in New York. When...
