Wouldn't necessarily do it at a more subdued affair, but summer black tie weddings with college buddies + too much booze + vigorous dancing means it can get very hot. I usually keep mine on but I get why people do it.- sftiger

The pro move is to order ahead of time and pickup. There's a minimum order size so it doesn't work unless you're ordering for 4-5 people, but you can skip the line to grab it. This is the only way I ever grab stuff at Arsicault.- sftiger

Any One for a Scotch?
Never tried HP but I have negative associations with it since I see it almost exclusively in Duty Free shops in airports, making me think it's overpriced. Although admittedly this is probably a dumb reason not to like something, especially something I haven't tried.- sftiger

The Home Ownership Thread
SF doom loop and all that... but there has to be more to this story. Prices have dropped but not that much, and $923/sqft for a luxury house in that neighborhood (and the surrounding ones) is like 25-40% below even the 90 day trailing average, let alone the 6-12 month one.- sftiger

I think I hate San Francisco.
Hook Fish is one of the only restaurants in SF I plan an entire outing around. Watching the sunset on Ocean Beach (on one of the <10 days a year it's not frigid) + Hook Fish burritos is the best.- sftiger
